01
How does a trichologist help with thinning hair?
A. A trichologist will run a thorough scalp and hair examination prior to making any recommendations for hair loss treatment. The examination will include manual and trichoscopic tests so they can determine which type of hair loss or scalp condition you have (diagnostic) and, most importantly, work out what the causes of your concerns are so they can be addressed.
02
Is there a Trichology technique or treatment that can regrow hair?
A. Before recommending or performing any scalp or hair treatments, the trichologist will first identify the problem and its causes. The trichologist will then design a bespoke treatment plan to target both the causes and symptoms of your condition(s).
03
Does vitamin deficiency cause hair loss?
A. Some vitamin or mineral deficiencies can lead to hair loss. Some of the common ones include but are not limited to vitamin D, folate, vitamin B12, iron and zinc deficiencies.
